Maria Treben was born in Saaz, city hop Sudetenland. His father was a printer and publisher, his mother a homemaker. She lost her father to ten years following a traffic accident and two years later she moved to Prague with her mother and younger sister. After completing his schooling in high school, she became a trainee at the newspaper "Tageblatt Prague. The young couple moved to Kaplitz in Bohemia, their only son was born there in 1946 and after the war, Treben were displaced. After a journey that lasted a whole year in different camps in Germany, they settled in Austria and from 1954 lived in Grieskirchen, a small town in Upper Austria. The family grew with the birth of three children, built a house, happy years living in perfect harmony.
From his youth Treben Maria had always been interested in nature and was familiar with the plants. But it is only contact with the biologist Richard Willfort, who opened his eyes on the effectiveness of plants she knew that Maria Treben intensively studied the therapeutic value of medicinal plants and gathered knowledge and experience among older People of the campaign. In 1971 she gave her first conference in small groups. But his audience did not only increase. Until 1977 she traveled throughout Austria and conferences held before an audience of more and more. And that in 1977 she was invited to come to Germany for the first time. The simple housewife she was dragged more and more people in its wake. The conference rooms were never big enough.
